I think I now know y I've been so stressed and discontented.

I keep expecting more technical projects to be handed to me
like, i'll just complete all the admin shit first, then maybe later i'll get something better.
but as it turns out, htere's never gonna be something better

as i realized last week when i was scheduling and creating online confercing meetings
sigh.....
anyway, that was a very sad, traumatic, tragic wake-up call that this is as good as it gets

which totally sucks but as carrot points out, its my attitude to the whole IA.
like if i go in with the thought that i'm open to EVERYTHING then i'll be ok

but since i keep expecting that as an ENGINEERING student
i'm supposed to be actually learning bout technical stuff :
seeing how an engine gets made
learning bout the current research status

but unfortunately, i have become a secretary
i have sort of accepted my situation
and adjusted my expectations drastically
so i'm feeling better, but it still sucks that i'm not doing stuff related to my course.

i mean, there's so much horror stories out there botu internships (being a slave and all that)
so its nto to say that my situation is totally out of hte ordinary
its just that i had my hopes up too high

anyway, thank god i had a roomate to rant to and pray with
so things are looking up

acceptance brings peace

I visited the national library today at bugis with glads and robson

so the day before, qin had passed me her bro's lib card to use
and i actualyl borrowed books!!

ok this is exciting coz back home if there's a book i really wanna read, i'd either have to spend over 40rm on 1 book, or rent it at like 8 abook

but the lib here in sg is actually well stocked
and it has matthew reilly!!

so it was awesome
being now able to have unlimited access to all the books that i actually wanna read
i wont have to limit myself to wat ntu has anymore

i'll meet the prof with my supervisor to discuss what i';ve been doing these past few months

its so strange
watching friends, s04e07, which was probably filmed in 1998?
and in this epi, they make fun of ross who plays very weird music by using the sounds htat have been programmed into the keyboard.

and even though its meant to sound "bad"
it actually sounds like daft punk music for hte movie tron

so wat was considered bad
is now in vogue
