first of all, its horribly cold and its become a normal occurence for my teeth to start chattering when i´m outside.

today, me and sis helped vincent deliver newsletters to a housing area

at first i thought, this sounds fun!
i get to see belgium housing areas.

it was fun at first but it turned otu the no of houses we had to do...........NIGHTMARE!!!!
we were walking for a solid 4hrs
imagine cold cold weather (i´m thinkin maybe 1 degree with wind and some drizzling involved)

but after a while u get the hang of it.

Aikido camp!

For the first time, there was an aikido camp in ntu.
so it started on fri morn,
i only went there in the afternoon so lol, cant tell u wat hapened earlier on.
we played loads of games, some human ping pong machine game
where we used bottles to hit the ball

unfortunately.....my team lost,
so we got decorated with face paint( courtesy of sg guys in NS)
i got a smiley face! (but worse came later)

so after that more games, then a wet game haha
the main objective was just to get everyone drenched
so after that we started decorating each others faces
the president got fabulous green eye makeup (he seriosuly looked damn feminine when he smiled with that, it was soooo funny)


and i was made to look like my jaw had grown fungus

then after that had bbq
unfortunately..........there was supposed to be like 20+ ppl coming
but only 14 turned up
and there was loadsssssss of food

there was $270 worth of seafood alone
and they were all fresh squid, prawn, stingray
the squid and prawn..........all so fresh, u gotta clean it urself
sobssssssssss
there was like 8kg of squid i think
the cleaning team was like wthhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
after the first half hour, u seriosuly start hating squid (i had 1st hand experience)

this is me and claw(don ask me how she got that name, i have no idea)
we're cutting up the squid and putting sambal into foil packets.

wow i have never seen so many cooked in one session
damn damn damn a lot
all of us got scared of eating prawns
it was kinda sad, we had to throw away the excess
they were so nice and big
ah well

we fried up some of the squid, and made calamari rings
but there was soooo much, we had 1 tray full of raw squid
so we gave the canteen the extra
lol the aunty was very very happy
next day, the mixed rice store had fried calamari rings...hmmmmm...

we all stayed overnight in the sports complex
so we just layed out mats in the badminton court, and slept
they used the projector to show ironman, but the sound was too soft
i'll just wait to get a copy fr them then watched it on my laptop

next morning, aikido training

New experiences

I'm back in Msia!!!!!!!!!!!!!

own room, own toilet, with toilet next to the room.....ahhhh so nice

on sat nite, I went to try clubbing for the first time (yes yes its damn lame that i only started now....wtv)
my fren jeevi, and i have always talked bout going together( she's done it quite afew times dy).
so she tried to get a group as when u dont pay cover charge, you have to buy a bottle which is friggin expensive.
so more ppl = less cost per person.

she asked this fellow a lvls guy fr inti, sarveen, who had a wide range of contacts.
he knew a fren who knew another fren inside the club itself.
as some of the group were underage, we needed this contact to get in.

at first we were supposed to go poppy
but the bouncer(contact) didn;t come, we switched to this supposedly french themed club, maison.

well....things started off badly
first it was crazily jammed up.
and we got lost finding the place, so it took us about over an hour just to get there.

once there, we had gather up a lump sum to enter in.
unfortunately sarveen thought jeevi said that she wanted to buy one bottle herself.
she was shocked and definitely mad that they were asking her to pay 260 for a bottle of whiskey(Dewar's) as she thought that we were all sharing it out.
in the end.......she had to pay like 100( to help cover the extra cost) while the rest of us who arrived first paid around 40.
the next part of the group who came paid 65(or jeevi had to pay like 120+)
but the next day.....he paid her back the extra
so all of us paid 40
yay!

so inside, hmm the club was sort of cramped in a way.
i kinda expected a bigger dance floor
they were having performaces (rappers and later dancers)

so during the first part i kinda got bored( rap is so not my thing)

i only had fun during the dancing
and being the self-conscious person i am, i started off kinda stiff and worried that i was looking like an idiot

i kinda ended up dancing alone in the beginning, feeling too out of place to actually just start dancing with a stranger
danced with some guy fr the group for like a minute but he moved off(i think he found me too stiff)
sobs......such rejection

but as sarveen came to dance with me, he told me "don worry, nobody knows u here"
i realized, he's absolutely right
so i loosened up, let go, and juz danced.
it was a lot nicer after that. LOL

also.....some stranger(fat old guy) offered me his drink since i wasnt carrying a glass in one hand
in my head i'm like........wthhh u think i so stupid ar?
but of coz, i GRACEFULLY declined

it was interesting to try
but i din like the smoke filled air andd music so loud u gotta shout juz to talk
got home with a hoarse voice and a sore throat

so today i shall go have HK style noodles.

on the canteen menu, all their noodles have diff names which say NOTHING bout the style their cooked in.

the first time i tried it, i picked yee men delight. i assumed that it would be something nice and dry.
came out as yee men swimming in a starchy brown sauce.....haiz
ah well to be fair, it was still ok.

so fingers croseed, HK noodle is a DRY style noodle

Today, I have officially fallen sick.

Stupid NTU system

arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is so irritating. I keep getting sent all over the place in NTU.
and since NTU is so frigging big, that means half an hour of walking.

It started like this
I wanted to ask them bout getting exempted for certain modules since i heard fr my fren that by taking further maths and getting an A, i dont have to take the maths course here.
so went to the undergrad office in my school, MAE(mechanical aerospace engineering) and asked them who i should talk to.
unfortunately........ the girl(carol) was on leave
nvm.....come back next day,
talked to her.
she told me
as 1st yr student, their office doesnt handle this. I have to go to OAS( office of academic services, which is like 10mins walk away)
so i decided, wtv la juz walk there
so when i get there, tell OAS my prob, and u know wat they said????!!!!!!!
they told me.....go back to my school. i need to discuss with the office there.


right then and there.....i felt like shouting .
but of coz....i din do it out loud.
because that incident was so dejavu

this crap practice of bouncing me all over the place has happened b4
when i wanted to do a make up for a lab i missed, went to that stupid undergrad office which told me to go to that specific lab and talk to lab technician.
then the lab technician told me i gotta go back to MAE to get the form
then went back to MAE to get the form
filled it up
when back to lab
which told me wrong form
i'm supposed to go to the lab's school office and get the form. (materials science eng. school)
it wouldnt have been so bad if it werent for the fact that each place is like 5mins apart and on diff levels

so in the end after talking to the lady at OSA, got the email of a person i'm supposed to discuss this with.
