Was complaining to my classmates about how depressed I felt
then we started talking
and went to watch Tangled during our 4 hour break today

so awesome
its a great show
and the impromptu outing made it more fun too lol

finally!

I've found out the name of that flamenco guitar piece that i've been searching for ages.
I neverknew the song title when i learnt it years ago under the guitar teacher.
And all these years, i would ask a few ppl who played guitar if they knew the song
and they would always say no:(

but its so amazing!
in the classical guitar module
the teacher is so awesome
i just played a few notes
and he gave me hte name straight away!



of course mine was the simplified version of this
but the the melody is so nicely spanishy
like you can just imagine a woman dancing flamenco to this
that sort of feel.

anyway, the guitar teacher was quite cool about me not being officially registered for the class
i was so worried at first that he would kick me out
coz i can't register for it since i clashes with my timetable
haiz.... HRM HRM
so he just wrote down "fun" next to my name in the list
since i'm joining the clas for fun and not for credits lol

new project

my next project shall be to make century egg porridge
i love those stuff

i used to hate century eggs
but i've definitely changed my mind about them.

luckily carol has a rice cooker
i shall use it

i guess the only drawback is i'll have to eat porridge over hte next few days
too lazy to make a small batch
might as well make a big one

Bdays

Had an awesome bday this sem :D

dinner + cake with roomie and hall 4 frens and angel
then got crocs and a shirt from classmates. YAY!
got the crocs when i needed it most
my slippers broke literally
and my fake crocs were wearing out pretty badly
unfortunately, my new crocs is giving me a blister on my right foot :(

it was nice!

so all of us were runnign around quite a bit trying to get the kite to fly.

all in all
a great week
except for the fact i got a quiz from scooter tmr
ah well

i actually got a bruise from my gi
its quite amazing

it's so friggin stiff and hard that when it bunched up at the back,
and i was rolling on my back
the cloth that digged into my back was so stiff that i actually got a bruise

so now i can't lean back on my chair properly :(
i have GOT to get fabric softener
then soak the whole gi inside it for days

was talking to my coursemates
and according to them i neither look or sound like a msian

one said, "i thought u were fr myanmar" (this was the most outlandish comment)

another said, I know ur asian, just not sure which country

another said didn't think your from malaysia, but defintiely not from singapore

So to them, i neither talk like a msian or a sporean

hmmm.........not sure what to think about htat
While I don't talk like most msians in ntu
I pretty sure that I'm not the only one fr msia who sounds the way I do
(no mandarin accent etc etc)

but then again, the msians they usually meet are the ones in ntu so.......

but there have been ppl who thought i was sgporean

hence, i am confused

salsa clubbing

my first salsa clubbing experience!

there was this bacchata festival held at zouk today
so i went for the party/amateur competition

I went there expecting to dance the night away
but unfortunately, the guy i went with didn't have that same expectation.
He just wanted to look at the competitiors dancing

so yea....
clash of goals i guess
the few dances i managed to persuade him to dance was ok...
its just
i expected to dance more :(

and i was too chicken to go up to a stranger and ask them todance with me

at least i found out wat zouk looks like

I FORGOT MY KEYS
i left it on the table when I came back earlier for the glider.
since my roomie was in the room, i didn't have to open or lock the door
so i totally forgot that i needed them on the way out

then my romie was out in school until relaly late
like even now, 11+
so i had to go BACK to school just to get them back

(this blog is just for my ranting)

so yea...walk walk walk walk walk

one good side is that i lost more calories i hope?

So i've finally had my first grading after my last one for 3rd kyu which was like more than 2 yrs ago

Since learnign under fwl for the past 1.5 yrs in ntu didn't really make me any better, I took 3rd kyu again today.

And awesome, i passed!
so it's good, that means i managed to pick up the technics i forgot
ahaha

serge is a way better sensei
he give quite constructive criticism

right now, i have 2 huge bruises on both my forearms

but it was just one of hte aikido locks which happen to be damn painful when done correctly

had a CA for my elective, cultural transition
and arghhh
i just kept dozing off during it

it's horrible
this is exactly wat happened during my previous elective, forensics science

so the lecturer will show the questions on the screen, and each of us is given and answer sheet

so i'll fall asleep, wake up wiht a start and say SHIT and faster scribble down an answer.
then the cycle will just keep on repeating

ah well, hoepfully i read most of the questions correctly in those brief periods of lucidity

this sem is my 2nd time of applying for INSTEP
and of course
when i got the email saying i've been offered a place
i was so friggin excited!!
i was hoping i'd get canada or korea

BUT NO!!
i got south africa, johannesburg instead
and all my fren's who applied are going canada and korea instead
BLOODY FRIGGIN HELL

Chances are, i'll be there wiht some unknown stranger
in a city well known for its crime rate

even if i reject this round, i can only apply next sem
and eveyrbody who already applied will be have gone.
and i'll be going exchange alone
so it doesnt matter either way.........

plus..........with the sutpid subjects getting harder, my gpa is gonna drop
and my chances of gettin instep will be even lesser

today a fren gave me a lift back to hall

and suprisingly, he said yes!

and i havent driven one properly since i passed my driving exam like 2 yrs ago
