valentine's day

so for today rite
i went for this "party"

it was thrown by my aikido sensei, at a glass art studio
it was quite fun
1. aikido training
2. glass bead making (really cool)
3. FOOD
4. sensei tried to teach us to dance, a very hilarious endeavour

here's the glass bead i made
and yes, its really small sobs


using a torch, u melt the glass onto a steel rod
then shape it or add more colours

unfortunately, the guy said that since it wasnt cool downed slowly enuff( not enough time)
it'll most prob crack the next day
DAMN i really wanted to make mine into a pendant
ah well

ANTM inspired dream

I had quite a weird dream today.

I was half asleep when it happened
that's prob y i can rememebr it right now
usually when i have dreams, after an hour of waking up
poof! its gone

ok, so i dreamed that somehow i was in antm ( i think)
and strangely will smith was a contestant too( yup weirdness)
so both of us were with tyra
discussing something, i forgot wat

then suddenly i started explaining to tyra y Asians don wear shoes in the house
and how i find it so much more hygenic nto to wear shoes in the house

scene shifts,
and tyra is showing us how to pose
and somehow she can practically paste herself on the wall and hang on using her fingertips
(think rock climber) and pose FIERCELY

then we emulate her
and suddenly that particular section of the wall had loads of gadgets
press a horizontal piece, and u get diff exercising equipment stuck to the wall
don know la
weirdo dream

then i woke up
coz my roomate was trying to open the door ( i had put the chain)
had to let her in

END OF DREAM

another useless lab

HONESTLY
wat is wrong with ntu

its like all the labs are designed to teach us NOTHING

perfect example
today
this stupid a/p (assintant prof) was supposed to be in charge of this lab session
and we've heard fr other groups
he seems to enjoy coming in late
like 2 hrs LATE

but today
gosh
new record
HE DIDN"T EVEN SHOW UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
stupid idiot
when we call him
he was like
ohh ok i'll come down soon
2 minutes later, called us back and said
" I cant come down, rushing your report(???!!!!!!????)"
then told us minimal stuff on the phone

luckily we called other frens who did this lab before


the indian lecturer was way better
at least he WANTED TO HELP
and the 2nd session i had with him
WONDERS! I understood 90%
so chun

urghhhhhhhhhhh

TODAY WAS THE WORST LAB EVER!!!!

so i went for my first lab today
and gosh
talk bout nightmare

the experiment was ok
all u gotta do was juz get readings of a manometer for some stupid wind tunnel
but the lab instructor
wow
HEAVY indian accent
i could only understand like 40% of wat he said

my whole group had extrememly blur faces
and once he left us
we turned to each other and started going " huhhhh???????" and then started laughing

haiz
sad indeed
i was wondering, if he gets this reaction from every NTU student,
y doesnt he speak slower or louder????
so we came to this conclusion
he must think every aero student he meets is extremely slow
since i doubt any of us would tell him
"sir ur accent is horrible, we dont understand a word u say"
so he prob juz gets blank looks or fake nods to his teachings

eg:
me: could you explain what this question means?
lab guy: ladsjadjdj LOG ladjaskdjsd LOG lasdjkadkjkljl GRAPH
lkjsldjadlkjsda BIG NUMBER USE LOG lkdjaldjaldjasdjlasdasd

this is kinda wat his answer soudned to me
and i definitely got the feeling that he thought i've never heard of or used log b4
ARGHHHHH

but he's actually a good teacher
IF HE WAS TEACHING IN HIS NATIVE LANGUAGE
because during the experiment
he would try to ask us questions bout the wind tunnel
or explain certain stuff to us
which was kinda wasted since we only understood part of wat he was saying

ah well
juz one more lab session with him
then on to the next lab assistant

urgh
my EU trip is sooooooo not going as well as i thouhgtµ

first, sooky was right, it is weird being a third party
since everywherre we explore our ¨merry¨ party consists of me, sis and sis´s bf
yup
i am the official third wheel
and believe me........it´s totally not fun

so next time u get asked to go on a long trip with a couple
PLS SAY NO!!!!!!!!!!!!
u´ll thank me for it

although if its a short outing, say........ 1 meal?
then by all means GO
if anything longer
run the other direction!

however if u know both sides of the couple pretty well then it should be ok

but i just met my sis´s bf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
not only that, this is their first meeting in 4 months (long distance relationship, go figure)
perfect recipe for disaster for me
to them.......heaven


i think this cold weather, cracking skin, bloody shivering everyti,e i take of my clothes is making me really cranky

i can predict my blog shall be filled with these rantings for a long while

magazine posting

first of all, its horribly cold and its become a normal occurence for my teeth to start chattering when i´m outside.

today, me and sis helped vincent deliver newsletters to a housing area

at first i thought, this sounds fun!
i get to see belgium housing areas.

it was fun at first but it turned otu the no of houses we had to do...........NIGHTMARE!!!!
we were walking for a solid 4hrs
imagine cold cold weather (i´m thinkin maybe 1 degree with wind and some drizzling involved)
ur hungry, tired, and sick of lookin for letter boxes
yup, thats wat some ppl do, put their letterboxes right in the middle of their hedges.
its kinda easy to overlook

but after a while u get the hang of it.
over here, letterboxes come in all shapes and sizes
i never knew ppl could be so imaginative with letterboxes ;)

ah well juz a few more days of this cold torture
sobssssssssssss
at least we get 66.666666666666€ for our effort. HAAHAHAHAAA

ohh but i saw loads of horses, donkeys and chickens

most ppl keep animals
their compounds are HUGE

the horses were real friendly, i got a few pics with the horsies
but lazy ^to upload, so i´ll add it in later
