Today Sis Sharon dropped by my hall to pass me lunch!
home cooked food!
a rarity in a student's life i think
hahaaha
it made me realize
God really does take care of his ppl
It got me and roomie talking bout our life
and since she's been in sg since f3, there was a period during her jc that was quite troubled
and God made sure she was taken care of too
so yea... :)
incidently, it made me think again of this kinda vow? promise? goal? i made when ppl took care of me when i'm alone here in sg
I'm gonna do the same when i'm much older
coz i realize how much i appreciate all these lil gestures
it;s a really huge comfort to have them
they are those things that we always take for granted when we're at home
but u'll miss them when u're by urself
so....ya

stupid kaist
argh
i applied for this summer internship at kaist
and it was a really interesting program
ur air tickets and allowance would be provided
so i thought hey
maybe i'll get to go for this since the stupid INSTEP exchange didn't work out
but sadly......no
reasons?
not sure if they were BSing but
-not final yr
- gpa prob too low (wth....)
- not singaporean (very likely)
- yongki hates me (hahaha)

looking at some pics on fb, i'm suddenly swamped with this sad feeling
it's like a fren's nick on msn which happens to be super long but the gist is the sadest words known to man are "it might have been"
hmmm nvr really thought bout it till today
it feels like uni is the major turning point for everyone
everybody starts heading off in diff directions
and of course, if u've had old old frens, those would last
but how bout the ones that have just been made?
when u're going off to live the majority of ur time in a new place (even though its only singapore :P )
those are the ones htat killed off first i think
that's where the phrase it might have been comes in
but of course the balance is that u'll make new frens in that new place.
but i'm in a melancholy mood now
must be the stupid exam stress
just another way to delay studying
haiz..... maths notes
fourier laplace complex
u plague my life

interesting revelation today
was talking to my coursemates
and according to them i neither look or sound like a msian
one said, "i thought u were fr myanmar" (this was the most outlandish comment)
another said, I know ur asian, just not sure which country
another said didn't think your from malaysia, but defintiely not from singapore
So to them, i neither talk like a msian or a sporean
hmmm.........not sure what to think about htat
While I don't talk like most msians in ntu
I pretty sure that I'm not the only one fr msia who sounds the way I do
(no mandarin accent etc etc)
but then again, the msians they usually meet are the ones in ntu so.......
but there have been ppl who thought i was sgporean
hence, i am confused
it seems everybody jsut has their own perception on how a local fr a country should talk or look
but i'm totally conviced that i look typical chinese though haha

salsa clubbing
my first salsa clubbing experience!
there was this bacchata festival held at zouk today
so i went for the party/amateur competition
I went there expecting to dance the night away
but unfortunately, the guy i went with didn't have that same expectation.
He just wanted to look at the competitiors dancing
so yea....
clash of goals i guess
the few dances i managed to persuade him to dance was ok...
its just
i expected to dance more :(
and i was too chicken to go up to a stranger and ask them todance with me
*stabs myself with a pen* stab stab
ah well
at least i found out wat zouk looks like
its kinda nice
better than MOS at sunway
but smaller though
wouldn't mind going there again if the cover charge wasnt so expensive (stupid exchange rate)
so thats it
feeling disappointed i didn't enjoy it more
BUT that teaches me to be too shy
crap.........
but the ticket included one free drink
I had my first gin and tonic haaha
coz it's only free one standard drink
and i have nooooooo idea wat standard drinks meant
so asked bartender who replied with house pours
(hmm..... still not sure)
lol so i said ok
and i think he heard gin
so i said ok again
and voila
gin and tonic
which turned out pretty nice
